Hope?  Were you hoping the government would start taking over banks and car companies?  Did you hope that socialism would replace capitalism?  We are not approaching socialism, we are already there.  Do you want your healthcare run like the Social Security Administration?

Change?  Were you expecting "change" to mean even more spending? George W. Bush gave conservatism a bad name in the spending arena, but he knew that you do not spend trillions to get out of debt. Or, maybe "change" meant changing to socialism.

Yes we can?  Did this mean, yes we can spend, spend, spend?  Throwing trillions into a wishing well? Yes we can continue our enslavement to China by furthering our debt?  Yes we can let the government take over private companies?

The bottom line is that Barack Obama is behind the wheel and he is taking us on a road that will eventually get so narrow we cannot turn around.  We need to all stand and realize that we cannot let this happen.  We can no longer sit around, watch television, and cast a ballot every few years hoping things will change. We all need to do something, whether it is organizing Tea Parties, starting websites, running for office, or marching in protest.

If we just sit back and do nothing, before you know it your entire life will be under federal control.  Eventually, you will pretty much be forced to buy a government vehicle; they will start by offering incentives so rich that you cannot justify buying anything else. Eventually, the government will run your healthcare; it is not free healthcare by any definition, but they will make it sound that way.
